The Science Behind the Mission

Meet Ben.

Ben was diagnosed with an incurable brain tumor. Rather than wait for the inevitable, Ben was enrolled in an experimental veterinary clinical trial utilizing our treatment approach. Though Ben's trial was not designed to be curative, his tumor shrank nearly 80% within 4 weeks of vaccination, and his happy, fun-loving personality returned. Ben survived about 3 times longer than expected.

The Process

The Immune System is made up of several components that continually scan the body to protect against the germs we encounter every day. Since cancer cells are not usually associated with germs, the immune system often does not recognize them as harmful and therefore does not destroy them. Our team has discovered an important missing element necessary to "talk" to the immune system and let it know how to identify cancer cells and send the message that these cells should be destroyed.

We plan to use our team's discoveries in conjunction with cutting edge immunotherapy research. We collaborate with leading scientists and doctors whom have a desire to see this important research advanced quickly. The knowledge gained from this type of immunotherapy research has the potential to be applied broadly. Not only could it possibly be used in the four pediatric brain cancers we are targeting, but it could also possibly be applied to other types of cancers in both adults and children.
